Biography

Research Summary

I am a second-year student from Peoria, IL pursuing a B.S. in Biomedical Science. I joined Dr. Yang’s lab in Fall 2019 and I’m currently working on Dr. Meng’s project, which focuses on the role of MTDH in cancer metastasis and drug resistance. I am learning to perform basic laboratory techniques such as western blotting, cell culturing, and PCR. As the years go on, I hope to gain valuable knowledge about cancer research and to be able to perform experiments independently. I really enjoy the challenges of working in the lab and after my undergraduate years I hope to attend graduate school to continue studying cancer biology.
