My name is Brooklyn Lininger, and I am pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering at the University of Iowa, with plans to graduate in 2029. I am from Aledo, Illinois and am involved on campus as a member of Alpha Xi Delta and the Society of Women Engineers (SWE). I have a strong intertest in biomedical research, particularly cancer research, and hope to pursue a research-focused career after graduation. 

Through my time in Dr. Yangs lab, I have had the opportunity to gain hands on experience in biomedical research and learn more about endometrial cancer. I have enjoyed developing my skills in areas such as studying specific genes and designing primers. My experience in the lab has given me a greater appreciation for the research process and the importance of collaboration, attention to detail, and continued learning. I am incredibly grateful to Dr. Yang for giving me the opportunity to be part of the lab and for everything I have already learned through this experience. I look forward to continuing to grow as a researcher and gaining new experiences throughout my time in the lab.
