Research description: I am original from Qingdao, China, but I have lived in Iowa City since 2015. I am a biomedical sciences major on the pre-med track at the University of Iowa. I only recently joined the lab, but I have a strong interest in cancer research and medicine. With this opportunity of researching endometrial cancer,  I hope to get a better understanding of the biological mechanism associated with different cancer types and how we can use this knowledge to develop a better and more effective way of treating cancer, ultimately leading to a cure. I am excited to expand my laboratory skill here at Yang Lab, learn from experienced researchers and further explore cancer treatments.
