My name is Mya Messenger, and I am a student in the University of Iowa Class of 2028, majoring in Human Physiology (B.S.) on the Pre-Medicine track. I am a Homegrown Hawkeye from Cedar Rapids, IA. I have worked in Dr. Yang’s Lab for three years. My time has been wonderful, increasing my scientific knowledge of endometrial cancer modalities and treatment while growing lasting friendships. Performing experiment techniques that help generate data that will help save lives continues my passion for cancer research. I am so grateful for the mentorship and opportunities that Dr. Yang has given me, it has been such a privilege to be a part of her team.
