Biography
Brief Bio including Research Interest
I was born and raised in Roosevelt, New York which is a small town located on Long Island, NY. I graduated with a BS in Biology from the nation’s first degree granting Historically Black College, Lincoln University in Pennsylvania. During my undergraduate years I completed three summer research internships, which built my foundation and passion for scientific research. I decided to pursue a PhD in Cancer Biology to hopefully improve the lives of cancer patients and their families with better treatments to ensure that Cancer is not the last stage of their life. In Dr. Shujie Yang’s lab, I am trying to validate novel small molecule Progesterone Receptor inducers using in vitro and in vivo endometrial cancer model.
